ossenzijl is part of the municipality of steenwijkerland and is easily accessible both by water and by road (a32/a6). it is about 60 car minutes from the randstad, 10 car minutes from the city of steenwijk and wolvega and a few car minutes from oldemarkt. oldemarkt has a center function for the area. here you will find a good range of stores and also numerous cultural and sports facilities.
